Incoming Master of Public and International Affairs student at the Graduate School of Public and International Attairs (GSPIA) at the University of Ottawa. Recent graduate of the University of Guelph with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Sciences, with a minor in Sustainable Business, graduating Cum Laude/Distinction. My academic and professional interests lie at the intersection of equity, international affairs, and public policy, with a particular focus on Indigenous politics and Political Ethics. Through my graduate studies, l hope to further develop my research and policy analysis skills while exploring how equity-informed approaches can contribute to more effective and equitable policy outcomes.
As the Bilingual Programs Assistant, I support menstrual equity programming and facilitate conversations with Clients, Donors and Interested parties in both English and French.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of Residence Life Staff (RLS) within the building. - Facilitate student conduct meetings, ensuring fair and supportive conversations around community standards. - Lead regular section meetings to promote team cohesion, share updates, and address building needs. - Create and maintain the on-call schedule for RLS, ensuring 24/7 student support coverage. - Complete overnight on-call shifts, responding to student needs, emergencies, and incidents as required. - Design and deliver inclusive, community-wide programming to foster student engagement and belonging.
Investigated the Politicization of Facts in Canadian Parliament along with Professor Edward Koning at the University of Guelph.
- Review, edit, and format official documents for Government of Canada web publishing. - Accurately record and distribute detailed meeting minutes to internal stakeholders. - Shadow senior team members to gain insight into intergovernmental negotiation processes and policy implementation. - Work on the National Progress Report and conduct research for backgrounders and data.
- Answering customer questions about the company, products, or services. - Resolving customer complaints and directing customers to the right department. - Taking orders, processing payments and making changes to customers' accounts.
