I’m a materials specialist with many years of experience in R&D and product development of high-performance engineering plastics, specializing in electrically conductive compounds, EMI shielding, IR, thermal conductive, and functional polymers for use in sensors and electronics, mainly in automotive and E&E applications. I focus on developing and optimizing polymer formulations to meet strict performance, processing, and regulatory requirements. I collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including customers, production, and quality, to bring innovations from lab to market. I enjoy solving material challenges related to thermal management, EMI, absorption and cost-performance balance. - Development of engineering materials for the automotive, electronics and electrical markets. - Developed compounds for radar sensors and EMI shielding housings in automotive electronics. - Auditee in ISO and customer’s audits. - Implementing, prioritising and coordinating technically challenging product development and application development projects in the field of Engineering Plastics compounds. - Implementing customer requirements into product specifications and product development plans, and responsible for the technical guidance of trial runs, internal testing, validation and final approval by customers. - Supporting salespeople/customers on a technical level and involvement in translating successful product-application combinations to new customers and/or segments. - Working closely with colleagues in the various departments; Pilot plant, Purchasing, Sales, QC lab, Production, Product Safety, etc. - Screening new technologies and stay well informed of developments elsewhere in the world. - Advising colleagues regarding developments in area of expertise (compounding process, injection moulding and extrusion process). - Administrating and managing IMDS. - Participating in industry fairs and events. - Collaborating with Tier 1 automotive suppliers and external labs across Europe, USA and Asia.
