In my role, I support the development and delivery of the Sourcing products with an ownership-oriented and agile organization. Warsaw Product Development Center develops solutions for corporate travellers and hoteliers. Sourcing is a set of products that negotiates, audits & manages hotel rates for big corporates. I work closely with business, product and IT departments to ensure that our products are developed according to HRS vision. Our team which consists of 24 members is divided into three agile teams. Teams are responsible for E2E software development process, from requirements engineering up to support & maintenance. As a leader I am responsible for interviewing, hiring, budgeting, vision & roadmap realization.
Request For Proposal platform allows corporates to negotiate rates with hoteliers. Improved scalability and performance, successfully migrated platform to Java 8. Along with on-premise database migration to AWS RDS our application became stable. We had several approbations for performance boosts in 2018 from our stakeholders like CEO and others VPs. Onboard and trained newly hired developers, even though high team fluctuation. Introduced many business features like mail templating, new way of excel importing. Extended and cleaned CI/CD Jenkins and did base DevOps work until one was hired, introduced JBehave and selenium as E2E tests.
