I have been working at McKinsey & Company for more than 10 years. One year after joining the firm as an Executive Assistant (supporting multiple partners), I was promoted to Team Leader position and formed a strong team of well-established assistants. A few years later, I became the Manager of Executive Assistants. During the whole time, I continued to support a Senior Partner who is also a Global Leader for Banking Practice. As Manager of Assistants, I built a team with a complementary mix of skills and experience. I was responsible for managing 18 executive assistants and 1 team leader in 2 different locations. My aim was to develop high performers, help new team members ramp up quickly, and create enthusiasm among my team members by motivating and inspiring them. I was also responsible that Firm values and strategy were understood and followed. I led the whole life cycle of the assistant role at the Firm which starts with recruiting and continues with onboarding, learning journey, professional development, 360° review, and end with exit. I worked closely with office leadership with respect to the overall office/function's support strategies. I also dealt with numerous senior stakeholders in relation to EA assignments, their support needs and EA performance.
