Lead a multidisciplinary research project aimed to identify susceptibility genes in wheat in response to fungal pathogens. o Bioinformatics: generation, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets, including functional transcriptomics and gene expression analysis, gene expression clustering and phylogenomics using high performance computing. o Data analysis, data visualization and statistics using advanced R. o Plant genetics & molecular biology: traditional breeding techniques, plant transformation for gene editing using CRISPR-Cas9, TILLING population screening, VIGS, confocal microscopy. o Phytopathology: study fungal-plant interactions.
