Over 26 years of experience in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry on Drilling Rigs. During this period I have been covering the following positions: Stability Section Leader, Chief Officer, Control Room Operator / DP Operator and Safety Officer. On occasions, when needed, I have been covering also the position as Platform Manager. I have been engaged in a new build semi-sub drilling rig, through the project phase, mechanical completion, commissioning, sea trials and set up for operation. I am used in a very dynamic work environment, managing various aspect of the daily tasks from safety, to compliance to personnel to supporting the mission operations. In this environment where at times it can become hectic, the team playing is the key for carrying out safe and successful duties.
Stability Section Leader of new build MODU Scarabeo 8. Challenges faced: Taking the rig into operational mode, building up the new crews
Joined the project of the new building of the SSDR Scarabeo 8 in the AoC (Acknowledgment of Compliance) team. Main duties of the team was the follow up for the compliance of governing rules and regulation applied on the Norwegian Continental Shelf for Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit. Upon completion of the construction was following up the commissioning and acceptance activities of the marine systems against Classification Authority and Rig Owner requirements.
Covering the position as Stability Section Leader / Chief Officer on the Semi Submersible Drilling Rig engaged in drilling operations in various areas of the North Sea
Joined the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry as Deck Officer at the beginning on Jack-up then on SSDR (Semi Submersible Drilling Rig). In the same period I have been awarded the Dynamic Positioning Operator Certificate in 1999. I have been engaged in different operation as drilling and construction in West Africa, North Sea and Canada. Operations carried out in Dynamic Positioning and ATA mode.
Completed the active service in the Italian Navy retiring with the rank as Liutenant
Joined the program for Naval Aviator, attending the course for navy pilot at the US Navy flight school in Pensacola - Florida
Active service as Navy Officer on board of Italian Navy Ships
