The Platform Talent voor technologie (PTvT, Platform for Science and Technology) focuses on a well-skilled and sufficient labour market force focused on technology and digitalization. As program leader, I was responsible for all programs in vocational and higher education. Additionally, PTvT supports the Katapult network, and provides the necessary staff and equipment to realize a successful Katapult-approach.
We are Katapult connects education with businesses and society. Katapult consists of over 600 public-private partnerships both in the Netherlands and Europe, including over 21.000 companies, 19.000 teachers/researchers, and 134.000 students. Katapult is a bottom-up movement, started in 2015, to improve the match between the labour market and education. Katapult’s philosophy is based on preventing to ‘reinvent the wheel’, and ‘learn from each other’, inspired by experimentalist governance.
The Board is established as an informal Commission special group chaired by Ms Ylva Johansson in her function as a Special Adviser reporting to Executive Vice-President Mînzatu. The board plays a central role in advancing the Union of Skills, the Commission’s strategy to boost Europe's competitiveness and address labour shortages through improved education, vocational training and lifelong learning.

The LiS supplies highly skilled technicians to leading research institutes, universities, and the high-tech industry, both in the Netherlands and abroad. The LiS is a small, independent vocational school (MBO) specialising in precision engineering, with a strong focus on hands-on work and the craftsmanship of creating high-quality products.
I participated in the assessment committee for the selection of so-called 'lectorenplatforms': a cooperation between several researchers within one specific topic (such as creative industries or high tech materials), with the aim to establish a research agenda and improve cooperation between researchers and Universities of Applied Science (2020) (NWO/SIA). I participated in the assessment committee for so-called ‘learning communities as innovation accelerator’. The term “learning community” as coined by the top sectors and as used in this call, concerns public-private workplace learning practices aimed at boosting innovation. Knowledge and educational institutions, business, government and other public-private partners work together closely in these communities. Research, working, innovating and learning are therefore connected with each other. (NWO / KIC).
