During 1 month I worked on a project of guest operator Solutia, investigating the re-use of water in an existing process. The new process was modeled in Aspen. Investment costs (new pipe still) and operating costs (steam consumption) were weighed against reductions in waste water, water and energy consumption, and raw materials.
