Pieter Anciaux is Business Unit President for Greater Europe & Middle East at AB InBev, the world’s largest brewer, where he leads operations across 50+ markets and oversees a team of approximately 3,500 employees. He is responsible for driving regional strategy, delivering sustainable volume growth, and expanding market share across a diverse and complex geography. He joined AB InBev in 2013 through the company’s Global Management Trainee program after earning a Master of Laws from KU Leuven. Early in his career, he gained experience across supply chain, finance, and sales roles in the Benelux region, building a strong foundation in both operations and commercial execution. Over the years, he held several leadership positions including On Trade Director Netherlands, Sales & Operations Director Belgium, Managing Director Luxembourg, and Managing Director France. In these roles, he led commercial performance, built high-performing teams, and drove market share growth across both retail and hospitality channels, including the successful launch and scaling of several global brands across key markets.
Regional responsibility covering 58 countries across the Nordics, Germany, Italy, the Canary Islands, Central & Eastern Europe, Mediterranean countries, the Middle East, and Global Travel Retail.
Led a team of 250+ as a challenger in the highly competitive French market, driving market share growth and strong commercial performance. Some highlights: - Launched Stella Artois & Flying fish, and delivering yearly double digit growth for Bud and Corona - Opened two warehouses, reshaping the RTM strategy to enable future growth - Achieved record-high team engagement and recruited top external talent - Relocated HQ from Lille to Paris to strengthen strategic positioning - Activation of Corona Cero as the official partner of the Paris Olympics and secured strategic partnership with Roland Garros for Stella Artois.
Led a team of over 300 talented individuals across Belgium and Luxembourg through unprecedented challenges during COVID-19, navigating closures in the horeca sector, and ensuring resilience and adaptability during critical times. My scope included: - Full responsibility for the Luxembourg market. - Leading the On Trade channel in Belgium, encompassing the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, pubs) and managing key strategic accounts, including national customers, events, and festivals. - Overseeing the Customer Experience, Technical Services, Real Estate Development, Trade Marketing, and Tech Sales teams.
