I have more than 20 years of experience in civil engineering and port engineering in Belgium and abroad. Amongst others I was in charge of the design of a 10.3 m³/sec sand catcher for the Caledon-Modder river scheme in South Africa (total estimated budget R 2.900.000, 1987). I was chief engineer of the Science Department in Bophuthatswana (South Africa) and was in charge of 23 water and wastewater treatment plants and 8 drilling machines (ground water). I designed several bridges and retaining walls for the High Velocity Train in Belgium and The Netherlands I have worked extensively on projects concerning waste water treatment plants in Belgian. As a Senior Engineer / Chief of the departement of Port and Water Ways of Technum Tractebel Engineering Antwerp, my experience includes feasibility studies and detailed designs for quay walls in reinforced and plain concrete for the harbour of Antwerp. From 2003 till 2009 I was Department Coördinator of Civil Structures, dealing with the design of over 60 road bridges for the new City Ring of Antwerp (Belgium) I was also involved in the writing of tender documents for the construction of the new City Ring of Antwerp.
