International Manager placed as CFO for the Retail and Wealth Management businesses of HSBC in Mexico and Latin America. Double-hating as the head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for HSBC in Mexico and Latin America in charge of reporting, planning, peer analysis, cost management and stress testing Main achievements were: - Launched the joint-venture with Global Payments in merchant acquiring with a $70m P&L gain and led the financial due diligence phase, the operative preparedness and presented the new business plan to the board as the interim CFO - Raised the financial performance of RBWM in Mexico by 44% in PBT terms against prior year, with direct contributions in lowering global recharges by $5m, lowering VISA costs by $6m and improving assets & liabilities management for $4m - Promoted better capital efficiency by setting up Return on Tangible Equity (ROTE) by product, moving to use capital consumption on local RWA basis, and raising awareness on the use of capital by product - Restructured the team of 22 FTE in Retail and 15 FTE in Insurance, setting-up a rotational pool of analysts, promoting young talent and moving out senior staff; overall reducing team costs by 15%

Main accomplishments were: - Delivered, at the government’s request, a review of the automotive industry in a severe crisis since 2008 and consulted with manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and unions on the most effective governmental action - Conceived a model on the profitability pool of the automotive industry and the impact of the on-going changes in market drivers (demographics, regulations, etc.) so as to build a strategic plan in response.
