· Serve as liaison to mainframe offshore team and user community. · Offer technical help to offshore team – this includes but is not limited to COBOL/DB2 CICS programs optimization, as well as code review. · Create and update documentation of existing and new processes · Build new PGP encryption processes on the mainframe to send and receive data and protect the client’s information. · Maintained and help the offshore team debug stored procedures · Use of PANVALET to maintain version release control
· Maintain current batch system. This system used extensively VSAM files. · Write new EASYTRIEVE programs to update current production process and write up new reports · Write up new documentations to solve potential problems · Maintain nightly cycle. This included but was not limited to resolving issues on the fly as well as communicating with the team in case of an error that would require more than 30 minutes of the system down time. · Design new processes to streamline current production process.
Maintain various DB2 applications - the main purpose was to help with the acquisition of new clients. Update and maintain JCL and PROCS Create new reports using Easytrieve as well as SORT to help facilitate users with current data
· Support of the Mainframe batch system. This was primarily a DB2 system but also used VSAM files · Work with the DBAs to update schemas when we needed to update different tables. · Use IDCAMS to create of clean up different VSAM files. · Review and update JCL/Procedures for the addition of new clients to the current system. · Modify and create new files and reports using DF Sort and EASYTRIEVE · Modify DB2 programs to account for new clients
· Successfully transferred the company’s tax services to an outside vendor. This project helped the company streamline its tax oversight and allowed it to better serve its clients.
