About

I help data leaders turn technical excellence into real influence. Most people are promoted in data because they’re great at execution. Very few are taught how to lead once the job becomes about decisions, alignment, and trust instead of output. That’s where I work. I’ve spent my career leading organization-wide data transformations, building and operating modern data platforms, and developing analytics capabilities that actually get used. But the work that matters most isn’t technical - it’s human. Clear ownership. Reliable decision-making. Strong partnerships. Calm leadership under pressure. I’m known for being deeply dependable. I believe trust resolves more problems than any framework ever will and I design leadership systems that make trust operational, not aspirational. Today, I focus on coaching and guiding data leaders and cross-functional teams to: 1. move from delivery to direction 2. build credibility with stakeholders and executives 3. lead without burnout or constant escalation 4. create data cultures that stick I work best with leaders who want clarity, not theatrics and who care more about sustainable impact than personal performance. Collaboration is the foundation of everything I do. As my career continues to evolve, I’m always open to meaningful leadership conversations, partnerships, and opportunities where thoughtful data leadership can make a real difference. Core strengths • Data & Analytics Leadership • Organizational Design & Process Redesign • Stakeholder Alignment & Decision Design • Performance, KPIs & Operating Rhythms • Team Coaching & Leadership Development • Data Platforms & BI (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Sisense) • SQL, dbt, Python, Alteryx • Building Trust Across Functions I don’t aim to just meet expectations. I aim to remove friction so teams can do their best work, calmly and consistently. If that resonates, feel free to connect or reach out at [email protected] . I’m always open to thoughtful conversations.

  • Data Leadership Coach at Pier Martin
    2024 - Present · 2 yrs 6 mos

I help data managers become the leaders executives include in the room, and the leaders their teams will follow into the AI shift. Most data careers don't stall because of a skill gap. They stall the moment the rules change and nobody tells you. The technical excellence that got you promoted (precision, depth, getting it right) isn't what earns you the next seat. Communication, influence, and visibility do. Technical skills get you hired. Communication, influence, and visibility decide how far you go. That's where I work. I coach data leaders to: 1. Shift from execution to direction. Stop being a senior IC with a manager's title. 2. Communicate at executive level. Fewer slides, sharper decisions, real outcomes. 3. Build trust and alignment across functions without burning political capital. 4. Lead through ambiguity, change, and the disruption AI is creating. 5. Grow scope and impact without burning out or over-performing. Two ways I work: 1:1 coaching for data leaders who want a thinking partner. Someone who's been in the seat, knows the politics, and won't sell you a framework when what you need is a sharper question. OR From Data Manager to AI-Ready Leader, my cohort-based course on Maven. Four live sessions on communication, leading through AI, and the operating system that gives you your week back. Eighty-five percent is about how you communicate, not what you know. Every framework comes with an example, an exercise, and a template you can use the same day. I don't teach generic "soft skills." I help leaders design clear ownership, decision rhythms, and communication habits that make leadership sustainable instead of performative. If you're in that gap, you're not behind. You're at the point where the work changes, and that's where this work begins
