I am a Health, Safety, Environment, Risk and Workplace Senior Management professional with 20 years' experience in successful execution of Worksite Safety Management in All civil, mechanical, electrical construction works pertaining to working at height, Hot work, Isolation and Lock out, Excavations Confined Spaces in both Brown and Greenfield Projects with complex Operational Interfacing (and tie-in works) during Commissioning of any systems (in the petrochemical industry, oil and gas industry as well as the aluminum industry, which include Power and Steam Integration and Potline Operations). My skills include operations, risk, health & safety measures/systems, Contractor alignment and management, providing Guidance and Leadership to subordinates and Project Management and deployment. Acting as Manager on the P 100 Potline Extension Project in Abu Dhabi. Assisting on the Eagle Project for EGA on Dubal in Dubai – which involve busbar rectification works and extension of Potlines as well. Site Preparation and relocation of underground services required for the potline extensions Extension of PL1 and PL2 buildings, total of 52 DX Technology reduction cells Extension of PL3 building, total of 14 DX+ Ultra Technology reduction cells Extension major works include: Ground improvement works (stone columns) Concrete works for Potroom extension and new electrical room Steel erection including roof ventilator and cladding Tie in to existing Gas Treatment Center and Alumina Pot Feed system Mechanical installation of new Potshell and superstructure Electrical and I&C Installation including conversion of PL1&2 Section 1 and 8 pot control system from DCCU to PLC base The following components are also included in the project scope: Modification of existing PL1-2 Rodding Shop in order to cope with the additional anodes Addition of an automated SOW casting machine in existing Casthouse Addition of a new compressor in PL3 compressor house Modification of 3 existing PL3 Pot Tending Machines (PTM) Modification of one existing PL3 Anode Beam Raising Equipment (ABRE) Addition of one light weight Transfer Gantry unit at south end of PL3 gantry passage Achieved 4.3 million workhours without any LTI (lost time incident) Received the Hatch Global Award in 2017, 2018 and 2021 – with the Safety Award achieved Globally in 2018.
Al Taweelah Aluminium Power & Steam Integration: Emirates Global Aluminium’s (EGA) power and steam integration project at the Al Taweelah alumina refinery has delivered the first steam. Simultaneously—within a few days—the project also achieved 7 million hours worked without a lost time incident (LTI). The Project was constructed in a heavy Brown Field environment and consisted of the Conversion of one of the largest captive power plants in the World into a cogeneration facility. Installation consisted of a combustion turbine and HRSG and the brownfield conversion of an existing simple cycle unit into combined cycle as well as significant process and systems modifications. With 54 different PO/Contracts 2000 Employees at peak 29 Nationalities Achieved 9 million hours without any LTI. Multiple Reviews & Due Diligence of Smelter & Power Assets: Detailed Reviews of all Al Taweelah’s (EMAL) Smelter, Power & water assets and related infrastructure. Detailed Reviews of all Jebel Ali’s (Dubal) Smelter, Power & water assets and related infrastructure. Scope: Several reviews and due diligences on the Aluminium smelters are Al Taweelah and Jebel Ali, that included the Power generation and Water desalination assets.
Responsible for all Occupational Health and Safety issues thru-out the Project. All HSSE related administration duties, and reported to the Project Manager. All QP/ QSGTL / KBR/ JK / Qatar Kentz HSSE standards implemented and maintained to acceptable level of compliances with no complaints from clients. All sub contractors / lower tier sub contractors plans aligned to client and QK HSSE Management plans and enforcement. Readiness to start process for sub contractors, from site establishment to construction phases. Sphere of influences from mobilizing equipment to site to completion of construction activities. Earth works with heavy duty construction vehicles and equipment. Piling and drill rigs.
