Working within a positive well prepared team to plan and deliver a range of lessons and activities to Reception-aged pupils in line with their interests, needs, and current stage of development. Planning lessons has followed the schools schemes as a guide, in subjects such as maths and phonics, but for other areas of development have been planned against needs and interests of the class. Collaborative working is a key approach, especially for the SEND pupils within our class to help engage and progress their development. Ensuring that routines are maintained and clear expectations are set at the beginning of each activity or lesson is key and I have been greatly developing this skill. Observing Year 1 lessons and assessment practices is also key within this placement and I have been eager to broaden my knowledge in the Year 1 curriculum.
