I enjoy writing code! There's something special about bringing a concept from your mind and translating it into the real world through the use of a computer. I first started coding my Freshman year of college and quickly noticed that I was already a step behind other students who had been coding since they were kids. That competitive spirit fueled me to work harder until soon they were the ones asking me for help. I'm great with people, which allowed me to work well with my teammates as well as my peers during internships. Whether it was learning how to print my first "Hello World" to creating the game of Chess using an API. The love of coding has never left me and my strong will and perseverance has allowed me to become who I am today. Skills/Interests: C++, Python, SQL, Javascript, React, Angular
Projects: DIBNet, Jan 2022 - Present: • Worked to maintain a legacy system and create new features to support reporting of cyber incidents for the Department of Defense • Utilized Angular to accomplish a range of front-end tasks, including creating a dynamic carousel to showcase images from the back-end, implementing intuitive drag and drop features, and efficiently passing data between components using observables • Leveraged Java and Spring Boot to facilitate integration tests and develop robust REST controllers with secure endpoints for seamless data exchange between the backend and frontend. • Recognized with the prestigious Champion's Heart award in acknowledgement of embodying our organization's core values while working on this project. MPACS, Dec 2021 - Jan 2022: • Employed React and Cesium to develop an immersive 3D map, enabling users to interactively visualize and manipulate light sources. The size and intensity of the light sources could be automatically adjusted based on user input values. • Utilized Cesium to accurately plot the positions of icons on the map, such as hospitals and city halls, by utilizing their respective longitude and latitude values obtained from the backend. • Honored with the Living Our Values Award for Collective Ingenuity in recognition of our collaborative efforts and innovative problem-solving while working on this project. JADC2, May 2021 - Dec 2021: • Developed a sophisticated mapbox visualization tool capable of efficiently displaying a large volume of land and air assets. The color of each asset dynamically changed based on its threat level. • Implemented features to display asset paths and proximity circles within a specified radius using data from REST API endpoints. • Leveraged the power of React Redux Store to abstract shared states, promoting modularity and enabling multiple components to easily access and manage these states from a centralized file.
