I have been developing my knowledge and abilities as a Construction Project Manager for 3+ years in the Austin market. Throughout my time I have gained experience in budget management, scheduling, material procurement, client/subcontractor relations, team leadership, construction problem solving, and am eager to continue growing in all facets of of the industry. I am a hard and honest worker that will not cut corners and gives full effort on everything I pursue.
● Continued working with the project team at Capitol View Flats to bring that project to completion April 10, 2024. ● Initiated and led the closeout process for the Yager Flats project. Performed multiple site visits per week. Initiated city/county final inspections, organized third party inspection reports with corrections, and prepared documentation for turnover checklist. Assisted the field team with the logistics/coordination of installations and set the expectation for owner turnover walks to achieve overall project completion. ● Began project startup for Blueridge with setup of buyout and submittal log. Reviewed current bids/budget with project team and drafted subcontracts. Involvement in early project logistics discussions and initial site sequencing. Project broke ground 3/20/2024.
● Joined as APM for GC Project Team at Capitol View Flats ($50M, Multifamily Garden Style) working with a Senior Project Manager and Superintendent/Asst. Superintendent team. ● Assisted with management of project budget. Corresponded with owner/subcontractors on potential change orders to reduce or eliminate costs, management of PCO/SCO logs, monthly AP Invoices, and performed monthly budget projections/expense report updates. ● Organization/management of all third party documentation and abatement responses at all stages of construction. ● Management of submittals/responses and correspondence with trades for any corrections or design changes. Management and creation of all RFI’s to ensure the proper research and field walks have been performed to ensure all critical items have been accounted for. ● Developed and maintained relationships with project team, subcontractors, inspectors, architects, designers, owners, and vendors. Developed knowledge of all trades and their workflows together to ensure proper design requirements and standard building codes were being met. ● Performed daily field walks, assisted the superintendent team with field coordination/logistics and material tracking, and delegated specific tasks as needed. Conducted daily team huddles to review overall project schedule and status. ● Created OAC meeting agenda’s and participated in meeting discussions. Led OAC meetings during the later months of the project. Assisted Site Superintendent with conducting weekly subcontractor meetings. ● Managed correspondence/setup of specific scopes of work for specialty items that included: COA/Austin Energy for permanent power, Mail Kiosk setup with USPS, COA Health pool signoff, ADA/TAS Inspection, Equipment Trainings (Access Control, Irrigation, etc.), Travis County Road signoff, Underground Propane Tank installation, and Final Building Inspections/Owner Turnover walks.
Construction project management in the greater Austin area, specifically glazing projects which consisted of commercial windows and frames and interior glass/glazing systems.
Training of fabrication softwares/manufacturing processes involved in the glazing trade, introduction to the various glazing systems and how they work to determine constructibility, and exposure to the flow of managing a long term construction project.
