About a year ago I graduated from Boston College with a degree in Accounting and Information Systems. After leaving Boston College, I entered the workforce with The TJX Companies, the parent company for TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and Home Goods. I enjoy being exposed to new ideas and possibilities and work hard to be a continual learner. I thrive on challenges and like to solve problems and find the best solution. I work best when I am working with people and not always sitting behind a desk.
Work to create the best return on investment of dealership funds through the buying, reconditioning, and selling of used vehicles.
I currently work in the office at Tom Gill Chevrolet. Much of what I have done thus far has dealt with financial and expense analysis. I am currently learning more of the detail behind the numbers in the dealership. Eventually, my role will develop into moving throughout and learning all the departments in the dealership.
The Pomykala Group is a CPA firm that focuses on automotive accounting and tax work. I worked as an intern in their office for six months. During that period of time, I worked on several audit engagements, as well as many financial analysis projects.
I work in a team to plan and allocate approximately $8-10 million a week to TJ Maxx stores across the country. My job involves a mixture of data analytics and forecasting plans.
While at Deloitte, I had the opportunity to conduct internal controls testing at three client sites. I was also able to help create the first draft of Visio diagrams that were going to be utilized in a new internal informational tool. Lastly, I composed Powerpoint presentations for use at client sites.
