I graduated from the Faculté Polytechnique de Mons (Polytech Mons) and hold a degree in Electrical Civil Engineering with a specialisation in Automation. I also took a specific training course in Health & Safety Advisor Level 2 (1992-1993) as well as the General Management programme at CEDEP/INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France (2000-2001). I started my professional career at Philips. In 1988, I joined the GDF SUEZ Group, where I have held various positions in Generation at Electrabel. Successively I was Executive Vice-President Conventional Generation Belgium-Luxembourg (2003-2004), Manager of Generation (2004-2006) and General Manager of Generation in Belgium (2006-2011). At the start of 2014, I was appointed CEO of Electrabel. At the same time, I remained in charge of all of the GDF SUEZ Energy Europe Business Line’s generation activities, for which I had been responsible since January 2012. On January 1, 2016, I became the new CEO of the ENGIE Benelux Business Unit. And on May1, 2021, CEO of Tractebel. My personal passions focus on people and engineering : bringing people, ideas, knowledge, technologies, tools, methods, financial resources together to take UP new challenges for the future. Provide leadership and management to Electrabel Generation activities in Belgium (12 GW installed capacity of which 5,5 GW nuclear, 3000 people).
