• Define and enhance supply chain strategies and concepts • Act as worldwide key account manager for the assigned product groups or commodities. Provide direction and oversight for assigned categories. • Develop a comprehensive view of worldwide activities for all assigned product groups • Conduct supplier / vendor evaluation • Build and maintain supplier relationships • Negotiate and elaborate frame contracts • Implement a standardized tender and contract framework that can be used across the business • Communicate global agreements to local business • Set rules of engagement with divisions / country organizations (incl. subsequent control of compliance) • Establish corporate KPI’s for such product groups • Monitor and analyse financial, quality and service levels for main categories • Ensure support of new stations for all assigned product groups • Support due-diligence projects / activities (M&A). Support global growth projects (e.g. start-up, JV’s, franchises) • Participate in and realize ad-hoc cost saving initiatives • Liaise on an ongoing basis with all stakeholders
