With over 20 years of experience in international development, economic growth, and sustainability, I am a Senior Director Health, Safety and Sustainability in the mining industry. My mission is to implement the vision, policies, and corporate tools for health, safety, and sustainability with the aim of implementing programs that have lasting positive impacts on the communities and environment in which operations are located, in order to improve the present and future of local populations while preserving the company's social license to operate As a competent and responsible leader, I manage multidisciplinary teams that oversees the environmental, social, and governance aspects of a project, including authorizations and permits, resettlement action plan, community development and engagement, biodiversity conservation, medical emergency crisis, malaria vector control, local content, and reporting. I also have extensive experience in mine closure planning and execution, having successfully developed and negotiated the first mine closure plan approved by the National Closure Commission in Mali. I am passionate about leveraging potential positive impacts for the communities and the environment.
• Implementation of the vision, policies and corporate tools as well as ensure the development and implementation of the sustainable development strategy in Sénégal : Authorizations and permits; RAP project champion; Full implementation of the Community Development and Engagement Plan; Lead all activities of the environment department such implementation and monitoring of the ESMP, Development of biodiversity conservation strategy; Head of Medical Emergency Crisis Cell; Malaria vector control program lead; Overview of local procurement strategy; Support Corporate Affairs department; Oversee all Boto project reporting. • Implementation of the vision, policies and corporate tools at Essakane mine with a particular focus on the development of the mine closure plan; Support and oversee the preparation of the quarterly sustainability reviews including the follow-up of resulting actions; Strategic advice to community development projects. • Providing leadership in Health, Safety, Environment and Communities related activities at exploration, project development and operation stages such as ASM (standards compliance, risk analysis, development and implementation of plans); Establishment of a "Medical Emergency" crisis cell per country, including the review and improvement of medical emergency procedures; Site Crisis Management Teams Lead for West Africa operations; Implementation of pandemic response (i.e. COVID-19) and control strategy at all IMG sites in West Africa; ESIAs development lead. • Standardization of HSS actions and development of new programs corresponding to the group's strategic vision of sustainable development including ESG, SDGs, TSM or other aspects; Participate in the development/review of the annual sustainability report. • Company representation with universities and research institutions, advisors and contractors, communities, NGOs as well as officials pertaining sustainability issues.

• Development of a closure plan for Sadiola and Yatela, including sustainability domains, that are agreed to and signed off by joined venture partners, governmental authorities and local communities • Development of all work packages and milestones in association with accountable department managers, which will be used by the mine closure team during execution • Delivery of a closure budget, aligned to closure liability provisions • Development and implementation of a control program and communication strategy necessary for operational compliance and community expectations • Management and supervision of all the aspects of Yatela closure project implementation (i.e. rehabilitation, community, stakeholder engagement, communication, demolition, decommissioning, decontamination, document management, archiving, relinquishment) • Ensuring targets are met in terms of annual budget and perform periodic cost control and cost analysis • Representation of the company pertaining all aspects of mine closure. • Acting General Manager when required, manage all support services to the mine
• Development, implementation and monitoring of the 5 year Business Unit sustainability strategy (community affairs, environment, health, security and human rights, public affairs, communication, and stakeholder engagement) including supervision of budgeting process, the definition of the appropriate use of HSEC technologies through research and benchmarking, as well as the development of the mine integrated closure plans and the delivery of projects extending beyond site (identification of opportunities for partnerships/joint ventures with third parties such as donor organizations, implementing agencies, NGOs, universities, etc.). • Provision of direct service input to the General Manager on all issues related to sustainability to ensure the implementation of AGA standards, guidelines and strategy; both “inside” as well as “outside” the fence issues, including the development of capacity on site (training, coaching, recruitment, organization) and the identification of opportunities and risks for the mine sites in supporting the direction, strategies, and action plans necessary to achieve the full potential of the assets and the maintenance of the license to operate. • Knowledge management by providing the company with the information required to fulfill its mission in the area of reporting, sharing lessons, building capacity and engaging stakeholders at the regional level. • Representation of the company with universities and research institutions, advisors and contractors, communities, NGOs, union representatives, National Closure Committee as well as officials pertaining sustainability issues.
