Philipp Hannemann is an entrepreneur and Sigma Squared Fellow passionate about making advanced decision intelligence accessible to businesses worldwide. While still at university, he co-built Ligalytics, an AI-driven scheduling company whose software is used by world-leading sports leagues (i.e. UEFA, AFC, Euroleague Basketball) to optimize match calendars, boost broadcasting income, and reduce millions of flight kilometers each year. He later co-founded Quantagonia, developing one of the first platforms combining AI and mathematical optimization to solve complex planning problems in production, staffing, scheduling, and logistics without requiring PhD-level expertise. The company raised over €5M in funding (VC and public) and received the FAZ AI Innovation Award for its groundbreaking technology. In the summer of 2025, Quantagonia was acquired by the U.S. company Strangeworks, where Philipp now serves as Chief Growth Officer, driving global expansion and advancing the mission toward a quantum-enabled future of decision intelligence.
