Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany
Shipping law sits at the intersection of commerce, logistics, and international trade - and that complexity is exactly what drew me to it. My path into the field was deliberate. During my legal training, I worked as a research associate at a large civil law firm, where I built a solid grounding in commercial and contractual matters. From there, I moved into shipping law - progressively deepening my expertise in an industry I find genuinely compelling. Since being admitted to the German bar in 2023, I have advised a wide range of clients - from shipowners and charterers to insurers, freight forwarders, P&I clubs, and trading companies - across the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious work: litigation, arbitration, contract drafting, and cargo and hull claims. Beyond my core practice, I hold an LL.M. and have a background in European and comparative law - which means I can bring a wider regulatory perspective to matters that go beyond pure shipping. I work in English and German, and I am equally comfortable in courtroom proceedings, arbitration hearings, or advisory settings. If you work in shipping, transport, or commercial law - or simply want to exchange ideas - feel free to reach out.
