IB DP student with hands-on aerospace and mechanical engineering experience, seeking internships and practical opportunities in aeronautical, aerospace and vehicle engineering. As systems engineer on Haileybury's CubeSat programme, I lead the communications subsystem for a satellite design project, calculating free-space and atmospheric path losses and antenna gain to specify a suitable transmitter and antenna. I co-founded a student engineering team developing a tiltrotor VTOL drone, where I am responsible for the electronics, flight-control integration and airfoil construction, working with a Teensy-based controller. My IB Extended Essay is an experimental physics investigation into coupled pendulum systems and the dependence of beat frequency on the position of the coupling spring. Alongside my studies, I serve as an Academic College Prefect. I am keen to connect with engineers, researchers and fellow students in aerospace and mechanical engineering, and welcome opportunities for shadowing, mentorship or internships.
