I have been working as a manufacturing/process engineer at Jaguar Land Rover for 6 years whilst working towards completing my degree in Applied Engineering at the University of Warwick which I am due to achieve this autumn. Leading engineering and technical support to design, develop and implement manufacturing production processes and facilities to enable the successful launch of new products. Thus ensuring feasibility of all designs to suit manufacturing build requirements, Design for Assembly (DFA) and compliance with the Bill of Process (BOP). This includes the creation of process, delivery of tools, jigs & fixtures, quality, data analysis and reporting of major issues, deployment of failure mode avoidance tools, support of cross-functional teams in the resolution of those issues on projects and the tracking of resolution through to completion.
I worked as a future model manufacturing engineer to launch various new products and model year updates into two different JLR manufacturing plants.
Working as an advanced manufacturing engineer internationally on new and model year update launches into the JLR plant in Pune, India being responsible for the following: - BoM, GSPAS (Process) and WERS validation; Identifying, raising and resolving issues. - PFMEAs and Control Plans - Facility assessments & commissioning - Jigs and Fixtures - Control Plans and PFMEA's - DC Tooling - Launch support in market. During my time I worked on the following projects: 17/18/19MY Jaguar XJ 19MY Jaguar XE/XF 19MY Land Rover Evoque (MCF) 20MY Land Rover Discover Sport (MCF) I also spent 3 months in 2018 doing a similar role working to launch 20MY products into the manufacturing plant in Itatiaia, Brazil
Predominantly working to rewire residential houses. Also involved some commercial work for schools and businesses.
