SchmueyVision is work by Phil Loarie. "...And there’s a Californian composer, I think he’s quite unbelievable, Phil Loarie. He’s one of the very few people whose managed to make a piece of digital electronics which is really entertaining. I remember us speaking about that before. He made a piece called Digital Lunch and I get consumed with laughter every time, it’s so unbelievable." David Tudor (1926 -1996) From an interview with composer David Tudor by Bruce Duffie at the Blackstone Hotel in Chicago on April 7, 1986. Source: http://www.bruceduffie.com/tudor3.html Documents on Digital Lunch: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/13TiF3INLWnyK6g5T8UaaARvzX7rUnw3D Phil Loarie's passion for making movies and music is blossoming into a network of opportunities as he returns to making cinema after a 35 year hiatus while balancing this with his former career position as a computer technician and systems administrator for the University of California's Berkeley Campus from 1987 to 2016 and an engineering tech for 10 Silicon Valley startups from 1979 to 1987. With over 40 years professional technical experience, Loarie launches himself into full time artwork in 2017 while relocating to the central coast of California in San Luis Obispo. Phil is posting more work on line than ever before and getting positive feedback from his colleagues. Presently "SchmueyVision" is growing a core audience that prefers engaging content over pixels, original technique over formulas, and artistic innovation over exploiting subjects. Presently, Phil's motion pictures are uniquely influenced by a fusion of 20th Century art movements: Cubism, Surrealism, Color Field, Minimalism and Op to Pop Art.
