Working with the FT Data Science department to consolidate data science initiatives, ensuring efficiency and strategic alignment of machine learning operations and objectives. Managing the deployment, scaling, operation, and continuous improvement of data and machine learning practices in order to elevate the quality of our products.
Enhanced the technical infrastructure of a quantitative hedge fund by optimising ETL workflows, improving MLOps and setting up CI/CD pipelines. Implemented reusable research tools and a custom multi-environment test automation framework. Guided the team towards a future-focused agile methodology, effectively shifting the focus from ad-hoc routine tasks to strategic planning and development.
Worked on cross-functional tasks in the Entity Management and Classification team to address and resolve issues across multiple releases of the product. Collaborated with multiple squads to integrate ML models and reengineer the manual classification workflow while adding additional functionalities and overseeing all stages of the software development lifecycle.
Designed and implemented ETL processes within a service-oriented architecture that enabled analysis and visualisation of trading data in order to reveal trading patterns and technical indicators. Fine-tuned analytics algorithms for precision and performance, and automated continuous integration, deployment and database migrations to improve operational speed and efficiency.
Led the development of a multi-tenant event management platform, overseeing a dedicated engineering team through design and integration with third-party services for video streaming, ticketing, payments, etc. Translated business objectives into technical ideas, design and solutions in collaboration with the product team, while also adapting our working processes to navigate the Covid-19 disruptions.
Developed a CRM for co-living buildings and later transformed it into a PMS system, working on contract deals, bookings, resident onboarding, occupancy across multiple locations and more. Integrated key functionalities with third-party providers for document signing, payments, invoicing, etc. Redesigned and rearchitected the website into a SPA, extending the backend system's architecture to enable seamless management of micro-units within the buildings through a service-oriented system.
Combined my engineering skills and passion for learning and education by creating a suite of applications for interviews management, programming courses curriculum, hackathon platform, and an iOS app for conferences. Concurrently, I served as a Python programming instructor for two years, mentoring and guiding multiple groups of 20 to 30 students.
