A student leader who is driven by the collective success of the group. Peyton Wormer is a freshman and Research Assistant at the University of Notre Dame, studying Biochemistry and Spanish, on the pre-MD/PhD path. At Notre Dame, Peyton is one of fifteen Corde Scholars chosen by the University, a member of the Transformational Leaders Program, and a Poverty Research Community member. He is also the Association Co-founder and Outgoing Vice President of Indiana Collegiate DECA. Throughout his time at Yorktown High School, Peyton was highly involved, with involvements as Student Body President, Indiana DECA VP of Hospitality, Varsity Swim Team Captain, and Riley Dance Marathon Executive Committee President being the most impactful to his story. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with the Indiana College Core and Core 40 Honors Diplomas, and several other distinctions and awards from his high school. Due to his achievements in high school, Peyton was elated to have received substantial endowments: Notre Dame Irish Scholarship, Oliver W. Storer Scholarship, Mary K. Garr Scholarship, Mabel S. Epler Scholarship, The Yorktown Chamber of Commerce Scholarship, Male Delaware County Morey Mannies Woof Boom Radio Scholarship, Robin S. Lindsey Memorial Scholarship, and Lathrop P. Johnson Scholarship. Each endowment has allowed him to study at the University of Notre Dame. Ultimately, Peyton Wormer prides himself on his ability to help others persevere; it is through his Development Internship with the Muncie Mission that he learned his calling was to grow by helping others, particularly those who have language barriers, are homeless or underhomed, and the large community of foster children within the state of Indiana.

Aid in researching the biological drivers and ecological stress of PFASs, per- and polyfluoralkyl substances, in the movement of streams and other freshwater ecosystems. Process biological samples; conduct chemical extractions through established protocols; and support high-quality data generation, management, and dissemination. Receiving guidance from a variety of researchers: postdocs, graduate and undergraduate mentors, in addition to other staff and researchers around the United States.
Lead campus tours for prospective and discerning students, their families, and visitors, while representing the University in a professional and welcoming manner.
As a member of the Election Council, I review all allegations of potential election misconduct and potential violations of election regulations; additionally, my team and I oversee the administration of all Student Union elections to ensure fair and ethical election practices.
