About

I am a senior innovation leader with 16+ years of experience at the intersection of technology, finance, and global institutions. My career has taken me from CERN’s frontier research labs, to the Swiss National Bank, and now to the BIS Innovation Hub, where I lead portfolios shaping the future of financial services. Having completed an Executive MBA, I combine technical depth (PhD in Physics) with strategic business leadership. I thrive on building and leading innovation projects, translating emerging technologies like AI, tokenisation, and real-time analytics into solutions with measurable business impact. At the BIS Innovation Hub, I manage multidisciplinary teams delivering prototypes in AI forecasting, digital assets, liquidity-saving mechanisms, and real-time FX analytics. I drive experimentation, mentor cross-functional teams, and engage senior stakeholders to ensure innovation aligns with strategic priorities. At the SNB, I led the development of data platforms and real-time analytics dashboards, modernising the tech stack and strengthening decision-making in monetary policy, reserves, and systemic risk. At CERN, I spearheaded R&D into distributed data infrastructures and next-generation computing, preparing for experiments at exabyte scale. Fluent in English, German, French, and Slovenian, I bring an international outlook and strong partnerships across central banks, IFIs, fintechs, and academia. My passion is rethinking how finance can leverage technology to deliver sustainable, client-centric, and future-ready solutions.
