Designed and delivered as the Product Owner, the OurInsights Business Intelligence Reporting Platform that launched in February 2020. This was a major Azure cloud-based data warehouse and reporting platform that houses large administrative datasets allowing for linkages and ETL processes in SQL and reporting in business intelligence tools such as Power BI. 2. Successfully led and delivered OrgView in February 2021, a major departmental project to create a tool allowing all Departmental staff to view their organisational structures 3. Led and delivered WorkforceView in August 2021, consolidating all of departmental workforce reporting into a single source of truth. 4. Was the accountable officer for all external workforce reporting including to the Annual Report as well as external agencies such as DTF, VPSC, and for PAEC submissions. 5. Led the end-to-end data product delivery to a number of key stakeholders, replicating and automating the creation of reports for a variety of different clients such as the Accommodations team, Procurement team, Taxation, Careers team and Organizational Transformation branch.

      Registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages (BDM) Solely responsible for providing all data analyses required by the organization and external stakeholders. This included weekly status reports to the Registrar, Annual Report submissions on key performance metrics (e.g number of registrations), and ad-hoc data analysis requests for internal and external stakeholders. Key achievements: 1. Transformed operational processes for the births, marriages, deaths, amendments, and applications teams by providing business intelligence dashboards to view all required information at the click of a button. 2. Automated the production of regular statistics such as the Top 100 Baby Names, and quarterly marriage and death statistics that are still being used by the organization today. 3. Was the key technical officer responsible for unit testing and accepting reports developed by an external vendor. This required me to reverse-engineer their products to determine whether they encapsulated all business counting rules and were fit for purpose. 4. Developed the reports catalogue that listed all business intelligence reports, including descriptions of the information presented, business rules, filters applied and the raw SQL code used to generate the data. 5. Represented on behalf of BDM at inter-governmental forums regarding best practice in data analytics, as well as the introduction of new gender codes. Was the principal liaison with the Australian Bureau of Statistics with regards to queries and requests for BDM data. 6. Led the design and implementation of a new data quality framework, and developed the formal process for internal staff to make ad-hoc data requests with the team.

      Crime Statistics Agency (CSA) Responsible for performing the quarterly ETL process in SAS DI to extract data from Victoria Police, conducting significance testing, creating briefs for internal stakeholders, and completing ad-hoc data requests for clients. Key achievements: 1. Wrote an Excel macro to automate the quarterly significance testing used by the entire Operations team to determine if specific crimes were significantly trending. 2. Wrote a simple-to-understand SQL guide for all staff at the CSA to use. As a result, SQL querying became a skill learnt by the entire staff, and is now always included in the position description for all data analyst roles. 3. Established a data-quality working group featuring members across multiple teams to collaborate, uncover and document data quality issues, and provide best-practice recommendations.
