Networking Perth WA (Western Australia) / Perth Business Networking was created by Peter Taliangis in 2009 to bring together his large network of colleagues and friends – to enable them to connect, share and refer business between each other. The membership of the group online is over 5,000 and is growing rapidly. The Networking model is very relaxed – it allows new people to enter the group with ease. There’s no rigid rules and formalities & no lock in commitments. The events begin with informal conversation and stand-up networking – which allows people to meet and connect before being sat down at a table – which often restricts your networking opportunities. The meals are designed to be quick, but not dominate proceedings. All attendees are invited to speak for 30 seconds to help the attendees to find out a little about them and their business. At the end of the meal attendees are encouraged to get up, change seats and begin informal networking. Events usually run between 90 minutes to 2 hours – ensuring there’s enough time for everyone to say hello and learn more about each other’s businesses. The idea is the more we get to know each other, the more we learn about each other’s business the easier it is to do business.
