I was excited to tackle a problem after selling a software startup to Ford Motor Co. I was challenged by Scott Lingle to use my talents for greater good with a nonprofit. I returned the challenge asking him to partner on creating a nonprofit guiding students to their "first 400$ in revenue" - since we saw Warren Buffett, Elon Musk, Mark Cuban and almost all of our friends successful in business starting in their teenage years with a hustle! https://www.wishtv.com/news/education/100k-summer-challenge-students/ High School Hustle was born through a shared passion to bring the top business owners and mentors into schools to guide students to overcome fear earning their first 400$. We saw this was a common theme for all the business greats! And we couldn't find any non profit organization spreading the word! We will give away 100,000k to IN High school Students in 2025 and plan to give 1 Million USD to high school students across the country helping them overcome their fear and building hustles.
Acquired by Ford Motor Company in August 2019 https://www.insideindianabusiness.com/articles/ford-acquires-indianapolis-tech-company https://www.ibj.com/articles/ford-motor-unit-acquires-doublemap-successor-journey-holding Conclusion - Served as a board member along with 3 Ford Motor Company executives and my business partner, Justin Rees, the CEO. This was a transitional role after selling the business I cofounded, DoubleMap, that we combined with Ride Systems to Ford Motor Company. We executed a buyout of a DoubleMap cofounder partner while merging with Ride Systems joining two incredible teams. I became the largest shareholder of the combined business and added incredible partners, Justin and Kelly, along with original cofounder Ilya Rekhter of DM. My focus was to start and lead our strategic discussions as we considered 5 buyers without an investment bank. Post acquisition I led sales and strategy for the combined business with a software company doing over $25M in revenue and nearly 200 employees. Inc 5000 Fastest Growing Private Company in US recipient (3x) - including #93 2015 Inc 30 Under 30 recipient http://www.inc.com/laura-montini/2015-30-under-30-doublemap.html While student body President in college, I cofounded and bootstrapped a SaaS business to 8 digit revenue with an incredible team. Ultimately served 1,500 transportation system clients in all 50 US states and traveled over 1 Million miles selling to and supporting my clients including fortune 100 (Facebook/Apple/Disney), 350 universities, public transit systems like City of Orlando, airports including LAX, and major hospital systems. I lead the acquisition of TapRide based in Orlando then the merger with Ride Systems in Utah. I became the largest shareholder and owned the entire biz with 4 partners. I led the competitive sale process including 5 LOIs (without an investment bank) to Ford Motor Company. Honored to have had an experience serving my clients and team. luck + hard work.

Supported the negotiation of purchase agreement and transition of the company from 24 family members to a private equity buyer. Invented by a chemist in Indianapolis and produced since 1882 in Indianapolis. It has since become the base of a line of cleaning products. SerVaas family began ownership and started producing and carrying the product under the Bar Keepers Friend name in the 1950s. Felt like an overpaid secretary but learned a lot and worked a lot. Incredible people work there. Moonlighting on my startup DoubleMap during my internship and full time gig. Fortunate to receive a full time offer after interning for a summer. Was an analyst "helping" sell businesses worth ~1B in value. Would’ve likely been fired if I stayed longer!
http://www.idsnews.com/article/2009/09/iu-student-association-gearing-up-to-bring-goals-to-reality Served as Student Body President and then Student Body Vice President for Indiana University Focused on the 5Bs - basketball cams, fall break, buses, book taxes, can’t remember 5th. Failed on most but fall break was finally implemented after attempts since 1970s to reduce student suicide in first semester. The “buses improvement” was a student project that became my business DoubleMap. Ran for president as a sophmore. I ran again as a vice president to try to complete our 5 Bs!
