Switzerland
I’m driven by one question: how can we solve major clinical and societal challenges by combining deep science, data, and AI? That question has shaped my career, from introducing some of the first single-cell analysis instruments to the Swiss market to founding and scaling Scailyte, an ETH Zurich spin-off at the intersection of AI, single-cell biology and precision medicine. Over more than a decade, I’ve raised CHF 20M+, generated CHF 10M+ in commercial and transaction value across life science tools, pharma/biotech partnerships and strategic transactions, and built an AI-driven TechBio platform from scientific concept to real-world partnerships. I led Scailyte through company creation, fundraising, team building, AI platform development, pharma business development, board governance, strategic pivots, asset-sale execution and public-private consortia. A particularly meaningful part of this journey has been translating deep biology into concrete clinical and commercial opportunities. I led Scailyte’s endometriosis diagnostic programme from single-cell discovery to assay prototype, publication, patenting and strategic asset sale to Hera Biotech. I also secured Scailyte’s role in major public-private AI/biomedical consortia, including the running CHF 13M Innosuisse Flagship ORION consortium. I’ve worked across the full operator journey: company formation, fundraising, sales, commercial strategy, strategic partnerships, pharma/biotech BD, public-private collaboration, board management, stakeholder alignment and the difficult decisions that come with leading a venture through growth and change. The thread through all of it is a conviction that AI applied to deep biology can fundamentally improve patient outcomes, but only when built by people who understand the science, the business context and the path to real-world adoption. Today, I bring together founder-CEO experience, board-level perspective, commercial leadership and a strong network across the broader Swiss, DACH and EMEA startup, investor, corporate, academic and life sciences ecosystem. As Group Chair and core member at CEO-CF, I facilitate high-trust exchange among European SME leaders and support fellow CEOs as they navigate complex strategic and leadership challenges across sectors and geographies. I’m selectively open to board, advisory, ecosystem, strategic partnership and business-building roles in TechBio, AI/ML, life sciences, healthcare and adjacent innovation-driven sectors.
Founder & CEO of Scailyte, an ETH Zurich spin-off building an ultra-sensitive AI platform for biomedical and clinical discovery from single-cell and multi-omics data. I lead the company across strategy, fundraising, partnerships, AI platform development, governance, and organizational evolution. • Raised CHF 20M+ through venture financing and competitive grants, backed by Swisscom Ventures, Verve Ventures, Innosuisse and other Swiss and European investors. • Generated CHF 5M+ through pharma/biotech partnerships and strategic transactions, including a women’s health diagnostic asset sale with cash and equity consideration. • Built and led a cross-functional team that grew to 20+ at peak across science, engineering, quality, operations, and business. • Led Scailyte’s endometriosis biomarker programme from single-cell discovery to diagnostic assay prototype, Nature Communications publication, patenting, and strategic asset sale to Hera Biotech. • Negotiated R&D collaborations, IP/commercial-rights agreements, AI/data-use structures and multi-party consortium agreements with pharma, biotech, academic and clinical partners. • Secured Scailyte’s role in major public-private AI/biomedical consortia, including the running CHF 13M Innosuisse Flagship ORION consortium. • Expanded the platform across women’s health, oncology, autoimmunity and cell therapy, while building a strong network of clinical KOLs, pharma R&D leaders, investors and translational partners. • Recognized by MassChallenge, Swiss Top100 Startups, Venture Leaders Life Sciences, TechTour, Nature Spin-Off Prize and Forbes AI Startups DACH.
Lead a CEO-CF trust group of SME CEOs across Europe, facilitating high-trust exchange on strategy, governance, fundraising, leadership, and growth.
Led the development of the Swiss market for pioneering single-cell and genomics technologies, reporting directly to the CEO of Witec and working closely with Fluidigm’s EMEA Sales Director and global commercial leadership on strategic academic and pharma accounts. • Generated CHF 5M+ in revenue by introducing some of the first commercial single-cell analysis instruments to the Swiss life sciences market. • Built a national network of scientific users, customers, and partners across academia, biotech, and pharma that later became part of the commercial and ecosystem foundation for Scailyte. • Helped establish early use cases and user communities for single-cell technologies in Switzerland
Represented the PhD student community at the Friedrich Miescher Institute, organizing career seminars, networking events, and initiatives that connected early-career researchers with leading scientists and professionals.
