Peter Ling’s practice is centered on intellectual property, unfair competition, licensing and life sciences matters. He has extensive experience in complex multinational IP and licensing disputes and arbitral proceedings, as well as in advising clients on contractual and regulatory issues related to IP, licensing and life sciences. Peter Ling graduated from the University of Fribourg in 2004 and completed an LL.M. degree at Columbia Law School in 2013 (Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar). Following his admission to the Swiss Bar in 2010, he joined the Intellectual Property group of Lenz & Staehelin as an associate. He is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO), and at the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property. In addition to regular publications in scientific journals, he has been one of the GuestKats on the IPKat Blog since January 2019 and has authored numerous posts in the field of Swiss, European and international intellectual property.
