      Responsible for the operational readiness and organisation of the 2,5 Mt Direct Reduction Plant, which will replace one of the two Blast Furnaces. This transition is required to reduce the CO2 emission of the steel plant by 5 Mt/a (from 12,6 Mt/a to 7,6 Mt/a). This is one of the largest CO2 emission reduction projects in The Netherlands. The transition will also result in significant reduction of environmental harmful emissions, leading to improved health conditions for the neighbouring communities.
