Co-leading the initiative to establish the mentality “You build it, you run it” within the IBM Cloud organization through education and leading by example. Bootstrapped the initiative for full continuous build and deployment pipelines. Making countless improvements to the productions systems. Changed the interview process to include real technical interviews in my manager's team and his peers' teams. Core contributor to the Open Source PaaS “Cloud Foundry”. Specifically, as the top committer, I'm helping to launch a new service, the “Bits-Service”, as new component in the core platform.
I co-developed a system from scratch for internal monitoring of sellers' performances on the Amazon Marketplace. Designed and implemented major parts of the architecture of that system. Technologies used include Amazon S3, SQS, SWF, RDS, and Google Web Toolkit (GWT). Joined the product localization team as one of its technical leads. The team is developing a system which localizes product descriptions in Amazon's catalog from one language into another to help Amazon become a truly international company. I helped to scale the system up from 200,000 product localizations per day to 4 million localizations per day. I Drove the effort to significantly reduce operational issues by making the system more robust. Failure rate went down from 25% to less than 1%. I drove the initiative for automating tests and promoted clean code. Unit tests, integration tests and end-to-end tests enabled full continuous integration and several automated production releases per day. Mentored junior developers.
