Hands on experience with cell tissue culture and cell tissue culture aseptic techniques Experience with preparing and pouring media for microbial procedures such as horse blood agar and TSA Advanced knowledge of microbiology, pathology, chemistry, biochemistry, mammalian cell biology and biotechnology Data analysis in MS Excel Perform serial dilutions Skilled in quality assurance and control procedures (familiar with NATA practices) Experience in ELISA assay, Bradford protein assay, PCR testing and iodine testing Knowledgeable in microbiological techniques such as gram stains, plating selective agar (macConkey agar, horse blood agar) and chromogenic agar (bacillus cereus selective agar) as examples Proficient in critiquing scientific journals and research Maintaining and growing L6 stem cell tissues for microscopic analysis Hands on experience in wet laboratory methods, techniques and sample preparation Safe working knowledge of HPLC, TLC, GC-MS, AAS, AES, autoclave and bioreactor equipment in a fast paced laboratory Strong knowledge of mathematical formula in use of laboratory chemical stock, in particular calculating the application of chemical concentrations Experienced in calibrating laboratory equipment Production of scientific documentation, correct recording of information and data entry Maintaining a clean work environment in a laboratory Developed skills in light microscopy and Köhler illumination Familiar with NATA practices and laboratory quality manuals
