Now, I'm privileged to lead an incredible team of creatives, media buyers and strategists at Bray & Co, an agency started 5 years ago based on the basic notion that the role of an agency is to be inspiring people inspiring people. I was sure, based on my experience, that there had to be a better way to give clients fantastic work, and I think at Bray & Co we are achieving that goal. I am also active on a number of boards, speak globally on brand building, performance, branding, pitching and startup strategies. I was brought on as Managing Director to create this agency by a former P&G regional president who had a great vision. The company success in working with multiple companies such as Procter & Gamble, Wilson Staff and Coca-Cola. During my time new offices were opened, revenues increased by over 300%, client satisfaction was at an all time high, as was creative and media buying. But the time had come to start my own agency again.
Part of the C - Suite at Saatchi & Saatchi New York, the flagship agency of the 140-office Saatchi & Saatchi global network. I led the digital business across the agency, leading strategy, improving the work, winning the work and increasing revenues. I led a team committed to creating integrated campaigns for our clients including Cheerios, Duracell, Tide, CHASE, Yoplait, Pampers, Olay, Lenovo and Miller Lite. Great people trying to change an agency with an excellent name to be relevant once more. Worked in unison with the media agencies across the group given my understanding of both. I also worked on successful Publicis wide pitches throughout this time totaling over 120M in new revenue wins.
Originally employed as Director of Digital and eventually performing the CEO at The Brand Shop, my remit was to lead and grow the The Brand Shop's integrated offering. Together with a highly talented team at The Brand Shop we turned the agency around, managed to create superb growth in 2010/11, create outstanding work, built great relationships with clients old and new, and injected renewed spirit throughout the company, and we did it fast. My highlight was numerous client wins where we handled both creative and digital media, seeing people grow when given the opportunity, as well as the overall growth of the agency, where we managed to meet or exceed some very tough KPIs. Based on our team success I was given a role across the STW group (now WPP) encompassing 70+ agencies
From founding the company based on a vision of providing digital strategy, media and creative that revolves around unleashing business growth, to selling the agency to a listed holding company 9 years later, my time growing this agency was incredible thanks to a great group of people that shared a vision to create great work. We believed that great creative and digital media would be a natural progression of having a business focussed strategy. From humble beginnings with just 3 staff, the agency grew to have offices in Melbourne, Sydney and New York. It became one of the most awarded and successful digital agencies, but we never lost sight of ensuring that strategy came first. Clients included Subaru, Commonwealth Bank, Sunbeam, Macquarie Bank, Diageo and Kraft.
