More than thirty years of work experience with a focus on strenghtening democratic governance, international education, human security and civil society. Able to provide flexible and responsive leadership, navigate complex social, cultural or political environments, formulate strategic advice and develop and manage an organization, a program or a project, including human and financial resources. Particularly worked on international education, civil society capacity building, good governance, conflict prevention, security sector reform, human rights, anti-corruption and accountability issues. Proven team-building, coaching, networking, communication, facilitation, advocacy, writing, fundraising and evaluation skills. A multi-lingual practitioner, with a substantive record of publications. Worked in over thirty countries. Has a background in Asia studies and is specialized in Southeast Asia and in particular Indonesia, with more than fifteen years living in-country.
I provide advice at senior level on issues of governance reform, international education and civil society and social change. I work on resource mobilization, project preparation and implementation and issues of compliance and accountability.

I advised on the establishment and operationalisation of a Knowledge & Advocacy Centre focused on various priority aspects of Governance Reform in Indonesia.
Led largest overseas Nuffic Office (25 staff), including management of Scholarships, Tailor Made Trainings, Capacity development and Institutional Cooperation projects, strengtening Vocational Training and facilitating research collaboration and PHD recruitment. Supervising offices in Thailand and Vietnam; managing Southeast Asia regional collaboration and various EU funded Higher Education projects in ASEAN.
