• Developing, and planning routes for condition monitoring programs including Vibration, Oil Analysis, Ultrasound, and Infrared to enhance Preventive/Predictive Maintenance programs. • Responsible for facilitating Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to increase equipment availability and reliability, and preventive maintenance. • Responsible for several improvement projects including overhaul and seal upgrade for boiler feed water pumps, main turbine surface condensers, high velocity oil flush of turbine lube oil piping system, and filtering hydraulic system of turbine throttle and governor valves.
• Supervised equipment Condition Monitoring Group including four certified Vibration and Non-Destructive testing specialists. • Developed, and planned condition monitoring routes for vibration, infrared, airborne ultrasound, oil analysis, and non-destructive testing (NDT). • Supported equipment trouble shooting, performed root cause failure analysis on major equipment failures; Identified, Initiated and Executed corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. • Tracked and reported maintenance key indicators: MTBF, cost, bad actors, PM completion.
• Initiated equipment improvement projects based upon the findings of root cause failure analysis and predictive/preventive monitoring routes. • Supported Project Engineering and Turnaround Groups. • Responsible for daily reliability, troubleshooting, overhaul, and development of PM program for critical pumps, turbines, motors, and compressors. • Responsible for several projects such as overhaul and repair of critical pumps, compressors, steam turbines, and heat exchangers including surface condensers during Olefin Plant turnaround
