Peter Terium is the Head of the Energy Sector at NEOM, leading NEOM’s broader energy vision. Previously, Peter served as CEO of ENOWA, where he spearheaded the creation of NEOM’s renewable energy, water and hydrogen systems, ensuring the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia emerges as a leader in the global energy transition. His leadership was instrumental in driving innovation, securing strategic partnerships and accelerating the deployment of sustainable solutions that are shaping the future of the industry. Before joining NEOM, Peter spent nearly two decades in senior leadership roles in the European energy industry. He was CEO of Innogy SE (2016–2017), CEO of RWE (2012–2016), and CEO of Essent (2009–2011), leading major energy transitions and corporate transformations. His career began at the Dutch Ministry of Finance, followed by roles at KPMG and Schmalbach-Lubeca, where he gained extensive expertise in finance and operations. With a deep commitment to clean energy, sustainability, and innovation, Peter continues to drive NEOM’s vision for a renewable-powered future.
