Am currently employed by Townlink Construction Ltd. as company Senior Health & Safety Coordinator and Advisor with responsibility for all on-going projects.
Health and safety advisor for L.Lynch Engineering overseeing the hook up of tools for the Fab 24 project.
Section Health & Safety Co-Ordinator for M3 Motorway Project (60 km Dual Carriageway & 50 km side roads) the largest road construction project awarded in the Republic of Ireland. Construction phase 39mths; completion June 2010 Health & Safety Practitioner duties to include ;Maintaining health & safety management systems, safety registers on server & filing systems. Ensuring compliance with weekly permits, Statutory Inspections, tool box talks, etc Setting up waste management system in offices, canteens & onsite, e.g.,. recycling bins for paper, plastic, steel/ metal, timber. · Pre-Start meetings with all sub-contractors · Daily inspections with Dept Agents & monitoring onsite · Weekly HS&E inspections with section managers · Weekly HS&E Reports · Setting up fire safety & first aid posts in offices, canteens. · Arranging relevant HS&E training for site personnel (CSCS, Safe Pass, Confined Spaces, Underground Services, Roadworks, Fire Training, First Aid, Lifting Gear Inspection Courses, Scaffolding Inspection Courses, etc) · Co-ordination of Health Promotion activities, e.g. provision of free and voluntary screening/healthy lifestyle for all construction workers. · Weekly progress meetings, addressing all health & safety issues · Weekly HS&E meetings with Sub-Contractors · Liaison with External Agencies, e.g., Utilities, Enforcement, Emergency · Ensuring compliance with all HS&E legislation, EU standards and duties of PSDP & PSCS.
