Position: Master Data Specialist Key Duties and Responsibilities: This was a new role in Glanbia Plc recently created as there was no dedicated master data person in the organisation. Build master data expertise within the company. Recruit, train and embed a master data team. Provide strategic input into company policies around the management and governance of data. Build global data dictionaries for Material, Customer and Vendor Masters. Provide training and mentorship to all Business Units in Data Governance and the concepts of Shared Data. Review all configuration change requests. Project manage all configuration changes and impacted data changes
Responsible for gathering of requirements, process mapping, blueprinting, project planning and management, testing, implementation, post go-live support and issue resolution. Also responsible for end to end data conversion process of master, transactional and historical data, formulation and implementation of data accuracy, integrity and collection procedures.
Ensure data required for go live is populated into system for cut-over by verifying data required for trial data loads is in place and of required quality, validating the integrity and accuracy of data in the legacy system in order to provide right first time data transfer. Deliver data mapping and data collection processes. Ensure compliance, re site procedures and IQMS documentation requirements. Ensure all data items are sourced and available to transfer either electronically or manually to the M-ERP system and provide support to ensure the cut-over activity keeps to schedule through facilitation of data entry activity. Report on progress through data activities on a daily / weekly basis.
