Chief Building Inspector responsible for inspection of every phase of vertical construction on Commercial and Residential structures and swimming pools. All structural renovation, remodel, demolition, repair, replacement, windows, doors, reroofs, pool remodels, including building and pool demolitions performed in Hillsborough County. Our jurisdiction's Construction total for 2014 exceeded 8 Billion dollars; 2 billion in commercial work and 6 billion in residential work.
Manage over 30 structural inspectors in performing 600+ structural inspections for residential and commercial inspections daily. Investigate complex anomalies during construction and resolve discrepancies to comply with the Florida Building Code, Florida Statutes, and or referenced engineering standards. Provide and schedule training for all inspectors to comply with Bi-Annual CEU requirements for licensure compliance. Review, update, revise and implement inspection procedures for all phases of construction. Maintain high morale and motivation for our inspection team. Find and commit assets to enhance the effectiveness and improve the capability and licensure of our team.
