Leading with a humanitarian spirit, my tenure as Centre Administrator at St. Anna Care Centre was marked by an unwavering dedication to the provision of education and aid to the most vulnerable. The skillful coordination of interdepartmental operations and the development of key organizational policies were central to my role. Our team's collaborative approach to proposal writing and partnership cultivation was pivotal in securing the resources necessary for our impactful work. With a focus on meticulous project management, monitoring, and evaluation, we were able to ensure the sustainability and effectiveness of our programs, thereby reinforcing our mission to support and empower our community.
1. Provision of basic education to orphans and vulnerable children within Gathukiini location in Murang'a East, Kiharu constitency. 2. Provision of humanitarian aid to less fortunate families especially those headed by the elderly My role covered the following: 1. Coordination of different departments in the organization for ease of operations 2. Developing proposals for fund raising for the organization operations 3. Partnership building and overall donor correspondence management 4. Projects management, monitoring and evaluation for the various projects and programs at the organization 5. Developing various policies for the organization including the child protection policy, staff code of conduct, communication plan, organizational management and board composition policy, among others.
Assisted the administrator to carry out his roles which included; 1. Coordination of different departments in the organization for ease of operations. 2. Developing proposals for funds raising for the organization operations. 3. Partnership building and managing donor correspondences. 4. Overseeing projects implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the various projects and programs at the organization.
This was a graduate apprenticeship program (GAP) which provided a short-term mission's exposure, at the Northern Kenya.
My tasks included; - overseeing registration of community-based organizations and self-help groups - Presiding over election of officials of registered groups and dispute resolution - Registration of targeted older persons and people with disabilities for government's cash transfer program
Focused on aiding the electorate to participate in a general election at the polling station.
Focused on sale and marketing of products of Githunguri Creameries Company (Milk) and tetra- pak company (Packaging).
