Peter Matey and I was born in Ghana. When I was a child, I was making some drawings that got attention to people who were around me. They couldn’t believe that at that young age, I was making matured drawings. At the age of 10, I started using postal colors for my paintings and when my father realized I was making incredible paintings, he then introduced me to oil paints. At the age of 13, was using oil paints and acrylics on panels to create realistic scenes and portraits. This is the time I started painting a lot because I enjoyed using these painting media especially acrylics. In high school I studied visual art and helped me to improve on my skills as an artist. I furthered my education at University of Education Winneba but then I changed my major and did graphic design. During my second year, I stopped everything and move to U.S.A. In my stay at the USA, I completed a two-year course in Dental laboratory Technology at Middlesex Community College. I completed in 2018 and after a year I decide to continue my education as a studio artist at University of Massachusetts.
