Thrilled to announce that I am back in Saudi working with great people. I’ve taken on the challenge of Project Director at Hill, working on a project that will make the Kingdom a major player in the electric vehicle battery space. I’ll be leading manufacturing for the new Lucid Automotive Manufacturing plant, aiming to make this facility a leader in both technology and sustanbility standards. As a Senior Director, my role was to devise a strategic plan for manufacturing plant capacities, encompassing quality systems, logistics, operations, LEAN activities, KPIs, and safety programs. I provided advisory support to members of the Board of Directors in managing plant assembly and powertrain operations, including logistics and quality management. Notable Accomplishments ★ Implemented organisational changes and programs that drove a 15-30% reduction in engineering headcount. ★ Pioneered implementation of an Industry 4.0 approach to assembly operations while integrating advanced technologies (DURR overspray free paint application, Industry 4.0 approaches as Digital twin, Vision systems.) to drive efficiency and productivity. ★ Enabled seamless running of plant with larger shutdowns and increased volume during normal hours to reduce overall energy consumption at low volume by 25%. ★ Reduced paint loss by 30% by moving from a full mix to a batch build system to paint higher volume of vehicles in same colour.
One of my major responsibilities was to manage change initiatives to enhance manufacturing methods, foster collaboration across multiple plants, and drive continuous improvement efforts. In addition, I played a key role in approving capital equipment and facilities plans to ensure strategic investments’ alignment. Notable Accomplishments ★ Built and managed a high-performing team of 110 engineers to foster a culture of accountability / excellence, increase customer satisfaction, and deliver quality products on time and within budget constraints. ★ Led the planning and development of a cutting-edge plant in Nansha, China, to launch a new complete vehicle, the FF81-EV. ★ Met the company's quality objectives by streamlining production activities by executing policies and procedures.
