Hired as a full-time engineer in a budding, independent, EV repair organization to expand the reach and prowess of the company and to develop diagnostic procedures and tools. The roles included developing software and scripts for numerous projects, providing technical expertise for software/hardware issues, and identifying and developing preventative maintenance. • Setup and installation of an OpenVPN server and clients for remote access to a fleet of Tesla vehicles for remote diagnostics, software updates, and to update and maintain root scripts • Wrote and maintained software and scripts used to parse log files for vehicle diagnostics, collect vehicle telemetry, and gain and maintain root access in vehicle’s Linux environment • Developed and updated service documentation, software, and repair procedures by reviewing Tesla specifications documentation, PCB/wiring schematics, reverse engineering, and social engineering • Responsible for managing up to 10 employees, improving customer relations, expanding repair capabilities, and being the subject-matter expert in diagnosis and repair efforts • Procuring and developing parts that have reached EOL (End of Life) or to improve upon engineering design flaws
Hired as part-time technical support for Windows and Apple computers, as well as teaching stations and projectors in classrooms. Then, I was hired to the Technology Studio to assist students and faculty with software, laptop, and cellphone issues/training. Finally, I was hired to the Systems and Software Management team to write scripts to package and install software, manage the software and OS installations through Microsoft SCCM and Apple Bootcamp, and to debug and resolve issues with the scripts, flags, and IT infrastructure involved. • Updated and maintained KiXtart scripts for software installations, then modernized the scripts to run in PowerShell for more than 40 packages in SCCM • Wrote scripts for automating the process of identifying and fetching software updates, and sending notification emails to the necessary stakeholders • Configured and deployed new kiosk machines and Linux-based OS to replace EOL computers running a deprecated Windows kiosk image
