As an OAC I had to provide technical project management support for Reuters' biggest technical migration project in Central and Eastern Europe. In this position I had the following key focus areas: - Managing and leading Projects as Technical Project Manager of Reuters' main IT Infrastructure modernization project, called Keystone in Central Europe and the Balkans - Review the technical parameters and the technical design of the future IT infrastructure - Adopt the technical components to the project plan and project structure - Technical consultancy on CxO level of our customers - Coordinate the 3rd party vendors and the project team against the project plan - Risk management - Planning the project cycle, and coordinating the job at the client site - 3rd party management - Procurement support Main Achievement: Lead the technical project to upgrade the transaction and information technologies platform of Reuters to a new IP based infrastructure in the major banks and financial companies (like broker and hedge funds, etc.) in Hungary and Romania and the Balkan countries. The total project life cycle was longer then 3 years. The project team size was 20 engineer and lead engineer and 10 Sales person and 2 financial controllers. The project covered the upgrade of the connectivity from site to site VPN to a new MPLS tunnel for each customer, the LAN infrastructure change, and the server and storage infrastructure upgrade.
