Seattle, Washington, United States

About

I love my job because every day I get to make up stuff for my clients. Effective labor relations work requires experience, tenacity, diplomacy, and creativity. Having practiced traditional labor law for 25 years, first with the National Labor Relations Board and then in private practice where I represent employers exclusively, I know what it takes to effectively manage collective bargaining relationships. I help clients across all major industries in every aspect of labor relations. From working through a union organizing campaigns and training management on the dos and don'ts; to negotiating the NLRB's election processes; to serving as the chief negotiator and strategist in collective bargaining on the employer's behalf; to representing clients before various administrative agencies I am always my clients' loyal advocate and trusted advisor. In non-union workplaces I assist clients develop and maintain positive management techniques that show employees they don't need a third party to speak on their behalf. I also assist clients navigate labor issues for major transactions, allowing them to find the right path to a successful bid to acquire, merge with, expand operations, or wind down the business.
